ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Board of Trustees Report: June 27, 2023

(Bradenton, Fla., June 27, 2023)&²Ô²ú²õ±è;—&²Ô²ú²õ±è;ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Manatee-Sarasota (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting virtually and in-person with essential staff and trustees on June 27.
The board heard presentations on:
- Legislative Recap from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld.
- Community Outreach from Student Services and Enrollment Management Vice President Dr. Brittany Nielsen
The board approved:
- Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
- ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø as the fiscal agent to manage $3.85 million in nonrecurring state appropriations for a State College CDL Consortium.
- A contract with Willis Smith Construction in the amount of $952,000 to upgrade audio and video in classrooms at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bradenton, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Lakewood Ranch, and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Venice.
- Capital projects for MTSC nursing student debriefing rooms; CIT faculty offices; lighting upgrades, parking, sidewalks; Building 8 classroom upgrades; and collegewide parking lot striping totaling $1.9 million at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bradenton, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Lakewood Ranch, and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Venice.
The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on September 26, 2023, at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bradenton.
