Learn MoreThe Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) is a competency-based program that offers an alternative pathway to the five-year Florida Professional Teaching Certificate. EPI is designed for those with teaching aspirations and bachelors’ degree in any discipline (from a college or university accredited by a United States Department of Education approved accrediting agency) to be highly qualified classroom teachers.
The program allows teacher candidates to learn in a hands-on, performance-based environment. Teacher candidates will meet one evening a week from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for five- or eight-week courses. This schedule allows participants to complete all coursework in a blended/hybrid format in approximately 12-15 months.
