窪蹋勛圖厙 Celebrates 65 Years of Serving Community with Higher Education and Workforce Development

The Florida Legislature established Manatee Junior College, later known as Manatee Community College and now 窪蹋勛圖厙, on Sept. 17, 1957. This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the past and look ahead to a future of boldly leading as an economic engine and cultural enhancer for the community.
窪蹋勛圖厙 President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld sees the milestone anniversary as an opportunity to reaffirm the pivotal role the college has held for decades, while looking forward to advancing 窪蹋勛圖厙s 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, focused on opportunity, growth, quality and diversification.

窪蹋勛圖厙 has more than 55,000 alumni and a tradition of offering a full college experience that includes athletics, student clubs and organizations, fine and performing arts, an honors program and student-centered academics. The college has adapted throughout the years, completing strategic growth initiatives and adjusting degree offerings to meet local workforce needs.
Students at 窪蹋勛圖厙 can earn two- and four-year degrees, workforce certificates and several non-credit credentials. Classes with flexible start dates, online learning, and evening and weekend classes all serve to create opportunities for everyone, from dual-enrolled high school students to working adults, to conveniently and affordably further their education.
