Future Business Leader State Conference Award Winners Moving on to the National Conference

(Bradenton, Fla., June 3, 2024)—Eight ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students who won awards at the Florida Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate State Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida earlier this year are invited to compete at the in Orlando this June. The students and other members of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Venice and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bradenton chapters of FBLA demonstrated their entrepreneurial, administrative, and job-readiness leadership talent in competition with students from colleges and universities Florida-wide.

These winners earned the opportunity to attend the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, June 24-27. At the national level, they are eligible to compete in leadership events with students from colleges and universities U.S.-wide, share success stories, and participate in workshops and exhibits.

Dr. Tylisha Johnson, a business adjunct lecturer at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Venice, and Jason Reed, a computer science associate professor and a technology chair and program manager at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bradenton, are advisors to the student chapters. Dr. Johnson and Reed both went to the state conference and commended the students for their achievements.

“These dedicated students showcased the exceptional skills they have learned here at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø,” said Reed. “We are extremely proud of all our members who attended.”
