(Bradenton, Fla., September 12, 2024) 鈥� 黑料吃瓜网 Foundation’s 24th Annual Scholarship Luncheon, sponsored by Suncoast Federal Credit Union, will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Michael鈥檚 On East, 1212 East Ave. S., Sarasota. 黑料吃瓜网, Manatee-Sarasota (黑料吃瓜网) President Tommy Gregory will preside for the first time at this cornerstone event. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淪cholarships Change Futures.鈥� The community is invited to attend, and proceeds will benefit 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 student scholarships and programs. Tickets are $100.

The event will feature an 黑料吃瓜网 Presidential String Quartet performance, 黑料吃瓜网 student scholarship recipient and speaker Brittany DeMars, a scholarship pinning ceremony, and a paddle raise to further support student scholarships. Donors will also have an opportunity to meet with students who have received scholarships that made their education journeys possible.  

DeMars’ story is a testament to the life-changing impact of scholarships. As a single mother of two boys, she has managed to pursue her nursing degree at 黑料吃瓜网 while being the sole provider for her family.

鈥淚 went from being a married stay-at-home mom to a full-time employee, student and single parent,” said DeMars. “Obtaining my nursing degree will be a huge step forward for my boys and me, and 黑料吃瓜网 Foundation donors have made that possible.”
