(Bradenton, Fla., June 30, 2025) 鈥� Nine 黑料吃瓜网, Manatee-Sarasota students in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) – Future Health Professionals Club competed in several events at HOSA’s State Leadership Conference in Orlando. Five students, who placed first through third, have qualified to move on to in Nashville in June. More than 13,000 students, advisors and health care professionals from many countries are expected to attend the conference, featuring workshops, college and career exhibits, and peer networking.

黑料吃瓜网 winners included Kezia Alivn, first place in medical spelling; Maria Molina, first place in healthy living; Jessica Carbajal, third place in health care display; Alex Diaz, third place in health career display; and Laura Zhen, third place in human growth and development and a second-time international conference 肠辞尘辫别迟颈迟辞谤.听

Heather Hernandez, assistant professor and program director, 黑料吃瓜网 health services management and administration, and Patrick Patterson, director and professor, 黑料吃瓜网 radiography program, serve as the club’s advisors, supporting the students鈥� participation in HOSA鈥檚 regional, state and international events.

鈥淚 have found that the students in HOSA are some of the most dedicated, hard-working students, and I am continually inspired by their passion for the health professions and becoming future leaders in the health industry,鈥� said Hernandez.  

HOSA is a student-led club that includes officer elections, meeting times, on-campus events and fundraising opportunities. HOSA provides health sciences education, hands-on skills, leadership, teamwork and networking experiences for middle school-college students interested in health-focused careers.
